FAA Part 145 Structures Mechanic
Location: Chandler, Arizona
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Overview
Aviocraft is seeking a highly motivated and experienced FAA Part 145 Structures Mechanic to join our growing team. This position is responsible for performing structural repairs, modifications, inspections, and maintenance on aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, engineering drawings, and company procedures.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and takes pride in producing high-quality workmanship. You’ll work alongside experienced aviation professionals while helping ensure aircraft are returned to service safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
As a Structures Mechanic, your responsibilities will include:
- Perform structural repairs, modifications, and alterations on metallic and composite aircraft components.
- Remove and replace damaged aircraft skin, frames, stringers, longerons, and structural assemblies.
- Fabricate sheet metal components using approved engineering data and FAA-approved repair procedures.
- Install fabricated components with exceptional attention to detail.
- Read and interpret:
- Engineering drawings
- Blueprints
- Structural Repair Manuals (SRMs)
- Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMMs)
- Engineering Orders (EOs)
- Technical publications
- Perform drilling, riveting, trimming, fitting, and assembly of aircraft structures.
- Conduct inspections to verify repairs meet FAA regulations and company quality standards.
- Accurately complete maintenance records and required documentation.
- Maintain compliance with FAA Part 145 regulations and internal quality procedures.
- Safely operate hand tools, pneumatic equipment, fabrication tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support other maintenance activities as assigned by leadership.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of aircraft structural repair experience (preferred)
- FAA Part 145 Repair Station experience (preferred)
- Strong sheet metal fabrication experience
- Aircraft structural repair experience
- Ability to interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and engineering drawings
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
The following qualifications are highly desirable but not required:
- FAA Airframe (A) Certificate
- Experience with:
- Business Jets
- Corporate Aircraft
- Military Aircraft
- Composite repair experience
- Familiarity with FAA documentation requirements
- Understanding of aviation quality systems
- Experience working in a fast-paced maintenance environment

FAA Part 134 Electromechanical Technician
Location: Chandler, AZ
Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Position Summary
The Electromechanical Technician is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, assembling, testing, and documenting a wide variety of aircraft electromechanical components in accordance with FAA, EASA, OEM, and Aviocraft quality standards.
This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work from technical documentation while maintaining strict attention to detail. The ideal candidate enjoys diagnosing complex component failures and takes pride in producing high-quality work that contributes directly to aircraft safety and reliability.
What You’ll Do
As an Electromechanical Technician, you will:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and test aircraft electromechanical components.
- Perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, assembly, and functional testing of components.
- Repair aircraft batteries, communications equipment, galley and lavatory components, electrical power relays, and related accessories.
- Read and interpret:
- Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs)
- Wiring diagrams
- Electrical schematics
- Engineering drawings
- Service bulletins
- Technical publications
- Utilize multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, test fixtures, and specialized diagnostic equipment.
- Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to identify root causes of component failures.
- Accurately document inspections, repairs, testing, and maintenance activities in accordance with FAA Part 145 requirements.
- Maintain compliance with FAA, EASA, Boeing, OEM, and company quality standards.
- Support engineering and quality teams with investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Prioritize multiple work orders while meeting customer turnaround time objectives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical certificate or associate’s degree in Electronics, Electromechanical Technology, Avionics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- Experience reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Hands-on experience repairing, assembling, troubleshooting, or testing electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience using multimeters, test equipment, precision measuring tools, and common hand tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates may also have experience with:
- FAA Part 145 Repair Stations
- Avionics component repair
- Aircraft battery maintenance
- Electromechanical assemblies
- Commercial, corporate, military, or regional aircraft components
- Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier, Embraer, or rotorcraft platforms
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- IPC or J-STD soldering certifications
- FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant Certificate (not required)
Physical Requirements:

Airframe Component Mechanic

- Complete maintenance records, work orders, inspection reports, and repair documentation accurately and in compliance with FAA Part 145 requirements
- Ensure all work meets FAA regulations, OEM specifications, and Aviocraft quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
- Collaborate with inspectors, quality personnel, engineers, and fellow technicians to meet production schedules and customer turnaround times
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and operational performance
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, and technical publications
- Minimum of two years of aircraft maintenance or component repair experience preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various maintenance shop environments
- Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
The following qualifications are highly desirable but not required:
- FAA Airframe (A) Certificate
- Experience working in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station
- Aircraft sheet metal fabrication and structural repair experience
- Familiarity with aircraft component overhaul procedures
- Experience using precision measuring instruments and specialized aviation tooling
- Experience supporting commercial, regional, military, cargo, or corporate aircraft
